Sorlier Grav. The lithograph was printed by Mourlot, Paris. The work is based on a detail of a design for Chagall's mural ”Triumph of Music”, which the artist created for the Metropolitan Opera in New York. The first draft of the subject was used as a poster for the opera. This second draft was further developed by the artist and published in a limited edition of 200 copies.
