We thank Anke Repp-Eckert, Essen, for her kind support in cataloguing the painting at hand. Ms. Repp-Eckert refers to a photograph from the Berlin flat of Flamm's son Oswald. On this photo, the painting shown here can be seen in its original frame in the dining room. This confirms the assumption that it is a late work by the artist, which remained in the family's possession for many years and was only subsequently equipped with the name of the artist.
