Large silver coin cup - LARGE SILVER COIN CUP. Lieberkühn d.J., Christian. Berlin. Date: Dated 1742. Technique: Silver with partial and inner gilding. Description: Multi-tiered and indented round base with conical walls. The clamshell lid with a spinning top-shaped knob. The walls decorated with leaf shells and stylised leaf and flower motifs on a punched background. In between, 30 framed coins on three registers. On the bottom row, 10 Danzig three-groschen coins with Sigismund I of Poland, above them 10 three-groschen coins with Sigismund III of Poland and finally 10 Brandenburg-Prussian three-groschen coins with the profile portrait of Duke Albrecht of Prussia. The lid is designed accordingly and features 10 Danzig three-groschen coins with Sigismund I of Poland around the shoulder. Weight: Ca. 610g. Measurement: Height 24,5cm. Mark: Inspection mark Berlin (Scheffler, Berlin Nr. ), assayer's mark, maker's mark Christian Lieberkühn d.J. (from 1733 court goldsmith, ibid. no.566), Prussian tax stamp from 1809.
