LARGE BRONZE MORTAR WITH COAT OF ARMS - LARGE BRONZE MORTAR WITH COAT OF ARMS. France. Date: 17th c. Technique: Bronze with a deep, dark brown patina. Description: Slightly conical body with large side handles in the shape of horse heads. Above the stepped base plate, between two moulded strips, is a large coat of arms relief with three fleurs-de-lis under a crest. Large acanthus leaves run around the sides.
