Art Deco Style Sapphire-Diamond-Brooch - Date: Ca. 1935. Material: Platinum, tested, pin 585/- white gold, hallmark. Weight: 9.5 g. Measurement: 3.7 x 2.4 cm. Diamonds: Ca. 117 diamonds in brilliant-, step-, and 8/8-cut in total ca. 2.4 ct., I-L/SI-P. Gemstones: 1 cushion-shaped sapphire in mixed star-/step-cut, ca. 11.69 x 8.36 x 7.35 mm (ca. 6.3 ct.), no evidence of heat treatment, origin: Sri Lanka. Enclosure: Platinum pendant eyelet, set with 3 small diamonds, with the necessary tools for attachment included. Original copy of the DSEF Idar-Oberstein gemstone report dated March 2026 included. Description: An elegant brooch crafted in the Art Déco style. The central sapphire is beautifully transparent, a light blue with a slight violet tinge. The pin appears to have been added later, the brooch can also be worn as a pendant.
