Description: Signed, hallmark illegible. Attributed to Elisabeth J. Gu. Defner, one of Austria’s best-known jewellery artists. She is particularly renowned for her experimental designs, which are strongly inspired by nature. The brooch features an ammonite at its centre, effectively highlighted by delicate gold embellishments. Its design has a very organic, naturalistic feel.
