Empire gilt and patinated bronze vase pendule - JOLLY , GASTON Paris Title: Empire gilt and patinated bronze vase pendule. Date: Around 1810–20. Material: Bronze, partly patinated and fire-gilded. Enamel dial. Measurement: Height 50 cm. Mark: Marked ‘Gaston Jolly A Paris’ on the dial (1810–20, Tardy p. 331). Description: Vase-shaped case on a square, stepped plinth, with finial caps on the sides. An armillary sphere serves as the central finial. Round dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute markers. 14-day pendulum movement with thread suspension and half-hour chime on a bell. Pendulum and key included.
