PORCELAIN SUGAR BOWL WITH CHINOSERIES - MEISSEN Title: PORCELAIN SUGAR BOWL WITH CHINOSERIES. Date: ca. 1725/1730. Designer: Decor Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt workshop. Material: Porcelain, enriched in polychrome and gold. Measurement: 7.6 x 11 x 8.5 cm. Mark: Swordsmark painted blue over glaze '67.' (on both parts). Description: An octagonal, elongated, curved body. On the front finely painted reserve featuring lustrous fields(?), latticework, and foliage and strapwork in gold, iron red and crimson. Within these, finely painted chinoiserie scenes. On the narrow sides, 'Indian' flowers. Accompanied by a lid with multiply contoured and a pagoda-style finial.
