Date: ca. 1725. Designer: Decor Seuter-Werkstatt, Augsburg. Material: Porcelain, etched golden decor, gilt silver mounting. Mark: Washed in iron red with 'gcs' resp. 'cc', partly a line as a incised mark in the base, old retailer's label. Silver once with maker's mark for Elias Adam, inspection mark for Augsburg. Description: Consisting of: 1 coffee pot (height 19.5 cm), 1 teapot (height 11.3 cm), 1 sugar bowl (height 12 cm), 2 tea bowls (height 5 cm, Ø 7.7 cm), 2 saucers (Ø 12.5 cm). Pear-shaped coffee pot with spout, s-shaped handle and vermeil-mounted lid with thumblift. Spherical teapot with tubular spout, c-shaped handle and silver chain around the handle, finial and spout. On a moulded, constricted foot, a bulbous sugar bowl with a domed lid. Bulbous sugar bowl. Bell-shaped cups with flared rims. Bowls with rising rims. The exterior of the walls, the reverse of the bowls and lids feature a relief fluted frieze, painte in alternation with a gold ground and dot and scroll decor.
