Designer: Gold decor Seuter-Werkstatt, Augsburg. Material: Porcelain, painted blue under glaze, richly decorated-over in etched gold painting. Measurement: 26.5 x 27 x 18.5 cm. Mark: On the inside of the tureen, swords mark painted blue under glaze, painter's mark ‘K’. On the unglazed base, presumably an inventory number ‘151.’ in black. Description: Oval in cross-section. A rounded, relief-decorated body sits on a tapered foot featuring acanthus leaf relief. Side volute handles with ram’s heads at the base. A matching domed lid, also relief-decorated and with multiple moldings, is topped with a crown. Decorated on all sides with an onion-bulb pattern painted blue under glaze and decorated-over in etched gold painting. Provenance: - Bavarian private collection.
