Brass weights. Measurement: 3 x 25,5 x 12,5 cm. Mark: On the inside of the lid, inscribed: ‘Made by Jan de Backer Blancier, residing on Dornick Street in Antwerp’. Description: A large, rectangular box with ornamental embossed and engraved decoration. Inside the drawer, 40 weights bearing coin designs, with their weights marked in black ink. Two counterweights beneath the lid. The beam balance with one round and one triangular pan (the balance itself was not originally part of the set). Provenance: - Old Private Collection, Rhineland.
