Measurement: 3 x 14 x 6 cm. Mark: On the inside of the lid, referring to the steel engraving: ‘The scales and weights are properly calibrated; Master Joannes Kirch lives in Kleinbolt (...) in (...) Cöllen’. Description: A rectangular box with ornamental embossed and engraved decoration. The drawer contains 8 weights with coin designs, marked in black ink, and the lid, beneath a slipcase, contains a further 8 weights, including 2 calibration weights. The beam balance features one round and one triangular weighing pan. Provenance: - Old Private Collection, Rhineland.
