H. Hirsch’ & dated ‘1919’. This is a copy after an original in the collection of the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in the Bergpark and Schloss Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel. Depicted is the Bible story from Genesis 48 in which the dying patriarch Jacob chooses his youngest grandson over his eldest at the blessing. Oil on canvas, 133 x 160,2 cm (frame: 152 x 178.5 cm).
