Willem Penaat (1875-1957) - Willem Penaat (1875-1957) An oak cabinet, design Willem Penaat for the PTT, 1929/33. In the front two doors with hardwood lock plates. The interior appears to be of later date. Several stamps are visible on the underside of the roof panel: N.V. Meubelindustrie, Mak & Engers, Schoutenstraat 159, Rotterdam. 10 Nov 1936 (Furniture workshop with that name closed in 1940). Also a stamp of: Centrale Werkplaats Staatsbedrijf PTT, 9 Sept 1959.
