Handwritten annotation in ink 'No' in upper right corner. Beautiful print, cut short on the margins. The top right corner is trimmed by approximately 16 mm. As a result, it is no longer visible whether there may have been two dots (= second state) which complicates distinction between first and second state. However, the watermark makes it very likely that this is a first state. With watermark: French lily with monogram PR. The watermark occurs on paper on which Rembrandt printed a large number of his etchings in 1653-54.
