Öl auf Karton. Skizzenhafte Darstellung einer Landschaft mit Feldern und Alpen im Hintergrund, dynamischer Pinselstrich, pastöser Farbauftrag. Unten rechts signiert. Guter Zustand. Gerahmt unter Glas. Gesamtmaße H. 44cm, B. 51cm. Mercker war Landschafts-, Industrie- und Städtemaler. Er war ab 1921 Mitglied der Münchner Künstlergenossenschaft (MKG), sowie ab 1926 Mitglied der Münchner Künstlerbünde „Ring“ und „Isar“. Er wurde 1937 für vier seiner Werke auf der Pariser Weltausstellung mit der großen Goldenen Medaille gekürt. Mercker war ab 1938 auch mehrfach auf den Großen Deutschen Kunstausstellungen im Haus der Kunst vertreten. Viele seiner Werke sind in verschiedenen renommierten Museen ausgestellt.

Oil on cardboard. Sketchy depiction of a landscape with fields and Alps in the background, dynamic brushwork, pasty application of paint. Signed lower right. Good condition. Framed under glass. Overall dimensions H. 44cm, w. 51cm. Mercker was a landscape, industrial and city painter. He was a member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative (MKG) from 1921, as well as a member of the Munich Artists' Associations "Ring" and "Isar" from 1926. He was awarded the large gold medal for four of his works at the Paris World's Fair in 1937. Mercker was also represented several times at the Great German Art Exhibitions of the National Socialists in the Munich "Haus der Kunst" from 1938 onwards. Many of his works are exhibited in various renowned museums.
