Depiction of a hilly landscape under a wide sky. Three cows lie in the grass in the foreground, a bull stands guard next to them. Another grazing cow can be seen in the background. Very realistic and detailed. Signed and dated lower left: J. Ware, 1902. Dimensions: with frame approx. 87 x 67 cm, visible dimensions approx. 58 x 36 cm. In good condition with traces of age and use, craquelure. Ware was an English animal painter of the 19th century.
