In different shades of brown and green, very realistic and detailed depiction of a sitting young woman with a tuft of grass in her arms, next to her various tools. On the frame plaque with artist's name: F. Schlesinger. Dimensions: frame ca. 61 x 71 cm, picture ca. 32 x 41 cm. Good condition with signs of age and use, picture slightly damaged at the edges, frame several times bumped and flaked. Felix Schlesinger was a German genre painter of the Düsseldorf school. He is considered an important genre painter of the 19th century, who in particular focuses on the childlike, innocent-idyllic life.
