Höher-Walchstadt (Munich) Oil on canvas framed in an elaborately stuccoed ornate frame painted in gold. Slightly pastose painting in strong colors. Depiction of a river landscape with bushes and trees, behind which a building can be seen. A bridge leads across the river, with a pair of ducks in the foreground under a cloudy sky. Signed lower left: M. Höher-Walchstadt, Mchn. Dimensions: frame dimensions approx. 132 x 102.5 cm, picture dimensions approx. 98 x 69 cm. In very good condition with slight traces of age and use, frame with traces of restoration. M. Höher-Walchstadt was a Munich landscape painter.
