Depiction of a landscape in the mountains (probably the Alps) with a lake (probably Lake Chiemsee) in the foreground. A village with a pointed church tower can be seen on the shore, reflected in the water of the lake. Very finely worked and detailed. Signed lower right: Philipp Graf sen Munich. Dimensions: frame dimensions approx. 40 x 51 cm, picture dimensions approx. 25 x 33.5 cm. In very good condition. Anton Philipp Graf (23 September 1874 in Würzburg - 26 March 1947 in Prien am Chiemsee) was a German painter. After training at the drawing school of the Polytechnischer Zentralverein in Würzburg, he studied under Gustav Rienäcker and Fritz Müller-Landeck at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1894. Graf painted landscape motifs in particular.
