Very finely detailed depiction of a winter landscape with different types of trees and a small frozen stream in the foreground. Signed lower right: Philipp Graf Munich. Dimensions: frame dimensions approx. 68 x 80.5 cm, image dimensions approx. 67 x 54 cm. In good condition with traces of age and use, small areas of paint loss on the canvas, frame bumped, paint partially flaked off. Anton Philipp Graf (23 September 1874 in Würzburg - 26 March 1947 in Prien am Chiemsee) was a German painter. After training at the drawing school of the Polytechnischer Zentralverein in Würzburg, he studied under Gustav Rienäcker and Fritz Müller-Landeck at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1894. Graf painted landscape motifs in particular.
