Large collection of Märklin Plus building sets & kits, 1970s - Large collection of Märklin Plus building sets & kits, 1970s The A9000 base set (originally packed and welded) consists of base and wall bricks in various sizes and colours. Also included are doors, windows, and a base plate for building simple structures and small houses with flat roofs. Also included is the Märklin Plus extension set BE 9152 (original packaging and sealed) with instruction book. The set also includes all of the C series kits in their original packaging. 5 sets of C 9200 Schnauferl, 4 sets of C 92001 racing cars, 4 sets of C 92002 trailers, 4 sets of C 9220 bus stop, 4 sets of C 9221 tractors, 4 sets of C 9222 commercial vehicles, 4 sets of C 9223 articulated lorries, 3 sets of C 9240 houses, 2 Land Rover C 9241 kits, 4 Tanker C 9242 kits, 4 Lorry C 9243 kits, 4 Rear Tipper C 9287 kits, 3 Articulated Truck C 9288 kits, 2 Tanker C 9289 kits, 3 Aeroplane C 9290 kits, 1 Garage C 9298 kit and 3 Petrol Station C9299 kits. The Märklin clamping technology building blocks were launched on the market in 1973 as a versatile building game with ”practical click building blocks”. However, the Märklin plastic building sets did not succeed in holding their own against the competition from Denmark and the Black Forest. Production was therefore discontinued in 1976. The collection offered here is rare to find in its completeness and good, original packed condition.
