The Märklin clamp technology building blocks were launched on the market in 1973 as a versatile building game with ”practical click building blocks”. However, the Märklin plastic building sets did not succeed in holding their own against the competition from Denmark and the Black Forest. Production was therefore discontinued in 1976.
