Vintage African 22K Yellow Gold Spider/Web Pendant - A vintage 22K to 23K yellow gold African Spider web and spider pendant. Made and purchased in Africa in 1949, this pendant consists of an imperfectly 37mm diameter (1.46”) circular pendant with eight spokes containing nineteen spiraling, hand-twisted wires, with a soldered jump wring and wire bail attached to top. In the center is a spider formed of two fused sections, four hind legs and four forelegs, two antennae and eyes fused to the head. The spider is affixed to the web with two wires. This pendant weighs 7.890 grams (5.1dwt) and tested as 22K to 23K gold. Presented with a 10K yellow gold plated handmade 18” long chain. An amazing find and opportunity for our buyers!
