Derby Figure Group Two Virgins Awakening Cupid
Derby English bisque porcelain figure group Two Virgins Awakening Cupid. Incised No. 195, star and Derby crown over D marks on the underside, circa late 18th / early 19th century. Mounted on giltwood lamp base. Figure 13"H (with base 14 1/2"H). Two repairs to the underside, repair to Cupid's face and hand, repair to pointing finger, neck and chest of one figure repaired; chips, losses and repairs to branches, leaves and flowers in background and on base; chips and losses to gilt base. Lamp fitting present but not attached.
