National Periodical Publications, DC Comics Batman and Superman Memorabilia Group, 1972-1974 - Three vintage DC Comics-themed items produced during the early 1970s. Superman & Bat Man Jigsaw Puzzle housed in its original cylindrical tin container, bearing a 1974 copyright from National Periodical Publications, Inc. The tin is marked as containing 200 pieces and features classic comic book graphics. Also included is a blue plastic Batmobile toy, which displays a 1972 copyright on the interior dashboard. This model is detailed with translucent neon-green bubble canopies, molded Batman and Robin figures, red fins, and cream-colored hubcaps with red bat symbols. Completing the set is a large stuffed Batman doll constructed of felt-like fabric with a molded plastic face mask and a black fabric cape. The doll features a yellow utility belt and the iconic bat emblem on the chest. Measurements are approximately 24 inches by 9 inches. Condition: The collection exhibits wear consistent with age and play. The puzzle tin shows surface wear, staining, and small tears to the paper label; the completeness of the 200 puzzle pieces has not been verified. The plastic Batmobile appears dusty with minor surface scuffs and some paint loss to the red accents. The stuffed Batman doll shows significant wear, including general surface soiling, pilling of the fabric, and a large tear on the rear of the left boot exposing the internal orange stuffing. All items appear to retain their original parts with no evidence of repair or restoration. Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition.
