Masudaya Metropolis UFA Maria Display Figure - Large-scale display figure of the Maschinenmensch, known as Maria, from the 1927 Fritz Lang film Metropolis, housed in its original box. Manufactured by Masudaya in Japan, the figure is constructed of matte-gold-toned plastic and is modeled after the original character design by Walter Schulze-Mittendorff. The item includes its original black circular base and metal support rods for display. Also includes a Japanese promotional insert and poster detailing the history of the film and character. The figure is designed for display and includes a battery compartment in the base intended for two UM-2(C) batteries. Not tested. Box size 17.5” H x 9” W x 6” D.
