The frame is constructed of carved wood with decorative burl wood veneers on the back crest and front apron. The chair features a high rectangular back topped with an architectural crest that includes carved finials and incised linear and foliate details. The seat, back, and armrests are upholstered in a pale gold and light blue-grey damask floral fabric with a decorative gimp border.
