DEAKIN & FRANCIS 1935 Birmingham Guilloche Green Enamel Box In .925 Sterling - This exquisite square Art Deco case-box, crafted by Deakin & Francis in Birmingham, England, in 1935, features solid .925 sterling silver with 24-karat gilded interiors. Weighing 114.4 grams (73.35 dwt) and measuring 80 x 78 x 13 mm (3.15 x 3.10 x 0.51 inches), it is adorned with engine-turned guilloché patterns topped with vivid green and creamy-white translucent enamel. The hallmarks include the lion for England, anchor for Birmingham, maker's mark ”D&F, ” and gothic ”L” for the 1935-36 assay date. A rare and beautifully preserved Art Deco piece. Condition: The overall condition of this Deakin & Francis box is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no trace of damage to the silver. The enamel is secured in the settings and this piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
