Bidspirit auction | JUDITH RIPKA Venetian Intaglio Cameo

JUDITH RIPKA Venetian Intaglio Cameo Pendant Brooch In 18Kt Gold With Pearls - A colorful convertible pendant-brooch by Judith Ripka, created in the late 1980s and beautifully executed in solid 18K yellow gold with a refined mix of polished and brushed finishes. Designed in an Etruscan Revival, antique Venetian taste, the piece is centered with a mythological intaglio carving and accented by eight cultured round white pearls (6mm) in bar settings, complemented by four cabochon green tourmalines for rich color contrast. Cleverly engineered, it features a hinged retractable bail for pendant wear and a hinged double pin bar with mechanical lock for secure brooch wear. The jewel weighs a substantial 44.5 grams, measures 60 x 50mm, rises 8mm, and is stamped and signed “JR .750.” Accompanied by a presentation jewelry box, it remains in excellent condition with only minimal wear and all stones secure. Condition: Very good conditions. All our diamonds and colored gemstones are naturally earth-mined. Any synthetic (lab-grown) stones will be clearly indicated in the description. Upon Request, Auction House may provide an appraisal. This will carry an additional cost. Appraisals are made by our in house GIA certified Gemologist.
