Hexagonal compote combining a richly colored blue sodalite element with .833 silver mounts, the two sections joined by a vertical screw construction. Materials: .833 silver and carved sodalite. Dimensions: 70 x 92 x 92 mm (2.75 x 3.63 x 3.63 in). Weight: 361.70 g (231.86 dwt). Hallmarks: post-1814 Dutch marks incl. peasant lion walking right in hexagonal cartouche with “2” standard for .833, maker’s mark ISW, and inventory no. 42806. Condition: The overall condition of this Dutch compote is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver and all parts are secured in the settings.
