Kol HaShofar. Especially Sharp Polemic Against Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook. Rare.

Polemic booklets against the book Orot by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook and other essays by him. Published anonymously. Jerusalem, 1920. Rare copy. (Most copies were burned, and those that remain have leaves torn out.)

Sharp controversy written in blunt, sharp and degrading language against Rabbi Kook and his methods. Chronogram of the year detail on the title page: "להבדל מספרי החיצונים" ["to distinguish from external books"]. The book was published by members of the Va'ad Agudat HaKodesh with the Va'ad's stamp. It is known that the book's author was Rabbi Akiva Porush (who hinted at his name by using the word "שופר"). One of the earliest publications against Rabbi Kook. Rare booklet that was sentenced to be burned.

12 pp, 24 cm. Uneven page cuts.

Fine-very fine condition. Minimal aging stains. Scorch marks on the corners of the two last leaves, far from the text. (Apparently someone tried to fulfill the command to burn the compilation.) Jacket cover.
