Rich Embroidery for a Tefillin Case Made of Gilt Threads. North Africa, 19th Century - Rich embroidery made of gilt threads designed for both sides of a Tefillin case, with flower decorations and an embroidered inscription of the owner's name: ”כה”ר יעקב נהון ישצ”ו, בכה”ר מנחם נר”ו כי”ר.” [2] matching embroideries, 24x18 cm.  Very fine condition, some unravelling and wayward threads.
