Personal copy of the gaon Rabbi Meir Shapiro, rosh yeshivah of Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin and initiator of Daf HaYomi. On the title page, and along the entire length of the book, there are no less than seven of Rabbi Meir Shapiro's early owner's stamps from the period he served as av beit din   in Pietrkov, as well as an owner's notation in the margins on the title page: ”הגאב”ד דק”ק לובלין יע”א.” Seven-word gloss on page 29b. There are stamps from Chachmei Lublin's beit akad sefarim . As is known, Rabbi Shapiro did not have any children of his own.
