Nevi'im U'Ketuvim, with Moses Mendelsohn et al's "Elucidation." Original Semi-Leather Binding Published by the Education Ministry of Czarist Russia - Vilna and Petersburg, 1851-1853. Ten Volumes
Edition of the books of Na"ch with the "Elucidation" - as indicated in each volume: Published by government order. On the title page: Printed according to the responsa of our rabbis and authors, with the names of rabbinic leaders including Rabbi Yitzchak of Volozhin and the Admo"r Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch (also on the German title pages). This edition was printed as part of the Russian government's coercion of Jews to study "enlightenment." The rabbis listed in the title page clearly did not give their assent.
This edition was published in two ways: A Hebrew part, and a Hebrew part with a German translation. This is the complete edition, with the German translation. The German translation was printed in Peterburg, and it was appended to each part, from left to right, with dedicated title pages. Each Hebrew part bears the general title page and the title page dedicated to the individual part.
