Group of [5] rare books of Prophets, with Latin translation. Bound together with separate title pages. Paris, 16th century. Hebrew and Latin.
* Targum Yonatan ben Uziel al Trei Asar, Hoshea V'Yoel closely proofread and vowelized with Aramaic grammar by Ioannem Mercerum, teacher of the holy tongue by order of King Henricus ... with explanations in places difficult to translate by the aforementioned author ... Chaldaea Ionathae Uzielis filii interpretatio in duodecim prophetas, diligenter emendata & punctis... per Ioannem Mercerum... Paris, 1557. 14, 15-30, 31-34, 35-38 pp. The Aramaic original (in the pages numbered with Hebrew letters) and the Latin translation (in pages numbered with digits). Especially rare. Not found in the National Library.
* Targum Nachum, Chabakuk V'Tzefaniah, Chagai, Zechariah and Malachi. Vowelized per the grammar ... by Ioannem Mercerum, who taught the holy tongue at the yeshivah in Paris by order of King Henricus. Paris. 1558. [1], 75-108 pp. Especially rare. The copy in the National Library is from the Mehlman collection.
These two books are from a translation of the entire Trei Asar. Each book has a dedicated title page. It is uncertain as to whether there is extant a copy with the entire Trei Asar.
