Conversation of Angels: Fascinating Family Letter Handwritten by the Admo"r of Slonim to his Uncle in Tiberias

Lengthy and important family letter entirely handwritten and signed by the third Admo"r of Slonim, the Rebbe Rabbi Yissacher Leib Weinberg. Sent to his uncle, the Rebbe Rabbi Noach Weinberg of Tiberias (father of the Admo"r, the Birkat Avraham of Slonim). The letter was sent during his father's, the Divrei Shmuel's lifetime. [Slonim, before 1910].

From the beginning of the letter right after Passover. "Shalom ... we are all well. Moshe, my brother-in-law [Rabbi Moshe Menachem Mendel Silver] was here on Passover, and he is planning on leaving tonight ..." The letter mentions 'my father, shlit"a' - that is, his father, the Admo"r the Divrei Shmuel.

At the end of the letter, after the signature, the Admo"r writes to his uncle about collecting funds for "מרמבר"ז" - referring to Rabbi Mordechai b"r Shlomo Zalman Leider - administrator of Kollel Reisin those days, who passed away on 13 Menachem Av 1910, and was still among the living when this letter was written.

The letter deals with family matters, and primarily monetary assistance from the Admo"r the Divrei Shmuel for his brother Rabbi Noach of Tiberias, for the marriage of one of his children. At the end of the letter, Rabbi Yissachar Dov concludes with a request for a blessing and prayer from his uncle, the tzaddik Rabbi Noach: "I would ask his honor to remember me for blessing and much success so that I can give his honor a generous present, as this winter has been very difficult for me. May Hashem help me from now on with much kindness and success and all goodness ..."
