Zealous Letter Against the Edah HaChareidit Signed by the Tzaddik Rabbi David Bahara"n and Others
Shechitah controversy in Jerusalem: Fascinating letter - warning to the administration of the Va'ad HaIr HaAshkenazi (antiquated name of the Edah HaChareidit) not to cooperate with the Va'ad HaLeumi. Jerusalem, 1938.
The letter is signed by leading tzaddikim and guardians of the embers in Jerusalem - the tzaddik Rabbi David Bahara"n; Rabbi Meir Heller (Heller-Samnitzer) known for his battle against Rabbi Kook, for which he was even imprisoned; Rabbi Avraham Slatky, rosh yeshivah of Sha'arei Shamayim; R' Chaim Wallis; and Rabbi Raphael Ya'akov Didovsky, among the leading Torah scholars of Jerusalem.
