Written about the author [in Hebrew] on the title page: "Crown of the exile, strength of the settlement in Safed, may it soon be rebuilt, hero of our nation, there has been no one like him to this day." Written at the end of the introduction: "As stated by Moshe, son of my master Chaim Alshich z"l, resident of the upper Galilee." Printed at the end of the sefer: "Remarks by Rabbi Yitzchak Gershon" - the renowned proofreader Rabbi Yitzchak Gershon, disciple of the Alshich HaKadosh.
