Sefer Shiltei HaGiborim - huge work about the form of the Beit HaMikdash and the sacrificial service, with chapters on various sciences, by Rabbi Avraham HaRofeh of Sha'ar Aryeh. Mantua, 1612. Four she'arim. First edition.
Unique work including 90 chapters about the form of the Beit HaMikdash and its vessels, and the bigdei kehunah. Inter alia, the author discusses matters related to science, medicine, zoology, botany and chemistry. Three meginim [three parts with separate title pages] later in the book about the sacrificial services. The sefer also contains an interesting description of the music for Simchat Beit HaShoevah, including a list of the musical instruments and the precise order of their use. There is also a special study schedule divided into days of the week for annual study of Torah, Na"ch, mishnah, gemara, midrash and Zohar. The Greek alphabet is printed on leaf 8.
