Chiddushei Bava Batra MeHaRav HaGadol HaRamba"n z"l. Venice, Bomberg Press, 1523. First edition of Chiddushei HaRamba"n. Pedigree copy - belonged to rabbinic leaders who left signed and stamped blessings on it.
After the entire Talmud was printed at Daniel Bomberg's renowned press in Venice (according to which the leaves in the gemara are set to this day). The printer began to print several of the Rishonims' Talmudic novellae. Together with this early sefer, three other sefarim were printed: Chiddushei Berachot, Chiddushei Gittin and Chiddushei Masechet Chulin by the Rashb"a. The four books are known together as Chiddushei Arba Shitot L'HaRashb"a V'Ramban.
The Ramba"n's apology fills the entirety of page 110a at the end of the sefer. It is written as a kind of long rhyming poem opening with the words: "Said Moshe ben Nachman z"l: Lest one suspect that he hears me making some statements without mentioning the name of the one who said them ... I apologize, as I did not mean to leave them out or make them anonymous, to cover it up ..." This is followed by Kuntress Dina DiGarmi L'HaRamba"n appears on page 110b.
