A Letter from Rabbi Binyamin Ullmann Son of the Yeriot Shlomo

A letter in the handwriting and with the signature [which appears in three places] of Rabbi Binyamin Ullmann, the son of the Yeriot Shlomo. 

The letter's content is an in-depth discussion on the Talmudic topic in tractate Baba Kama regarding witnesses who witnessed a person killing another person, he discusses Rabbi Akiva Eiger's question on the Tosefot in Gittin 40, novaelle on the laws of forbidden mixtures, and ends with personal matters. Most of the letter is written in Hebrew and the personal matters at the end are in Yiddish. At the end of the letter are additional matters which he wrote to his brother Rabbi Yisrael, greetings to his brother-in-law Rabbi Akiva Levenstein and his sister Rebbetzin Ratzil. 

Rabbi Binyamin Ullmann of Walka [1847-1932]. Born in Makó to  his father Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ullmann Av Beit Din of Makó, he was a disciple of the "Ktav Sofer". Published the books of his father, author of the "Yeriot Shlomo" on Talmudic topics. His comments appear in the indexes of the responsa Yeriot Shlomo.
