A Fold-Up Anti-Nazi Cartoon. Israel, circa 1940's
An anti-Nazi cartoon depicting the heads of the Nazi Party as four filthy animals making up Hitler's head. Published by S. Y. Tzvieli and D. Topal, Mozes printing press. Israel, circa 1940's.
A paper leaf folded into four. When the leaf is folded Hitler's face can be seen, when the leaf is open, under the title "The Nazi Zoo" are four animals - a dog, donkey, pig and mongoose, each labelled as one of the heads of the Nazi party: Himmler, Goering, Goebbels [the Nazi minister of propaganda] and Ribbentrop, decorated with a swastika.
Tears with lack of text of the 'instructions' on the right.
Size [when the leaf is open]: 25x16 cm.
