Non-traditional haggada - Kibbutz Menorah, [1949]
Non-traditional haggada. Stencil print. All pages are bordered with impressive illustrations.
Between the traditional texts, there is an interesting "Yizkor" text" for the fallen soldiers of the War of Independence and the victims of the riots: "Know the best from amongst us. A pure youth - dreams, strong of heart, clean hearts,...fall of hope of the day to come, there is nothing better than all this. Did you see? and where? and you covered all this. Blessed is their sacrifice in the secret of death they covered our lives with glory.."
In addition, there are passages regarding strengthening political independence, for example: "Before us is rejuvenation and independence....until when? Until the strength of Israel in its land will be judged to destroy all enemy attacks wherever it may be..." and more.
The haggada is printed only on the left side of the leaves. The back binding is missing, but has been replaced with matching paper.
20 cm. [31] leaves.
Fine condition.
