Sefer Beit Hillel - novellae in the order of the weekly Torah portions, festivals and other special occasions, by Rabbi Hillel b"r Mordechai of Tismenitz. Frankfurt am Oder, 1744. First edition. Uncommon sefer.


With approbations from Rabbi Yehonatan Eybeschütz, Rabbi Elazar Rokeach of Amsterdam, and others.

The author was a grandson of the Ba'al HaTa"z. He lived in Stanov, Poland. He mentions in his preface that he was forced to leave home and relates the adventures of his difficult life.
