Huge Collection of [80] Edah Chareidit Membership Certificates Signed by Gedolei HaDor

Unique historic collection consisting of more than eighty membership payment cards of various personalities, in which the amount and frequency of the donation they are interested in giving to the Edah HaChareidit is recorded. Jerusalem, 1930s.

The certificate constitutes an obligation to deposit annual membership dues in the Edah HaChareidit coffers. The Va'ad HaIr L'Kehillat HaAshkenazim logo appears at the top of the certificate. This was the previous name of the Edah HaChareidit. The text of the certificate reads: "I hereby declare that I am prepared ... to donate the sum of ___ each week/month/year (the member is to indicate)." Details of the payment and the date are filled in by hand. The member's signature is in the margins of the certificate.

The signatories include: The Admo"r Rabbi Mordechai Goldman of Zvihl (it's surprising that the Rebbe was a member of the Edah HaChareidit), Rabbi Amram br"m Blau, the Kabbalist Rabbi Shimon Tzvi Horowitz, R' Eliyahu Mordechai Eisenstein, Rabbi Yechiel Matityahu Davis, R' Moshe Glickman Porush, R' Nachman Odesser, Rabbi Yisrael Ze'ev Mintzberg, R' Eliezer Ralba"g, Rabbi Nathan Aharon Moskowitz, Rabbi Yonatan Binyamin HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Rabbi David HaLevi Jungreis, Rabbi Simchah Bunim Warner, Rabbi Avraham HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Rabbi Amram Brash"i Blau (1931, before he left), R' Yeshayah Salant, Rabbi Eliyahu David Slotky, Rabbi Baruch Yitzchak Freund - publisher of Siddur Taharat Hashem, R' Chaim Yedidyah HaLevi Ungar - son of Rabbi Shmuel David of Nitra, Rabbi Pinchas HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Rabbi Yehoshua Asher Rabinowitz, Rabbi Shimon Alter, Rabbi Aharon Avraham Slotky, Rabbi Eliezer Yitzchak Berman, Rabbi Avraham Chazan, Rabbi Yitzchak Shlomo Blau, R' Moshe Blau, Rabbi Reuven Miletzsky, Rabbi David Yitzchak Magen and others.
