Manuscript - Torah Novellae by Rebbe Alexander of Plotzk - Copy that Belonged to the Admo”r of Vorka- Otwok - Lengthy manuscript - complete composition by the gaon Rabbi Alexander Ziskind HaKohen, av beit din  of Plotzk and Shedlitz, one of the leading Chassidim of Rabbi Simchah Bunim of Peshischah. Cpied from the author's manuscript itself, by ”Yisrael ben Sarah Malle of Shedlitz.” [Late 19th/Early 20th century]. The work consists of deep insights on the Torah, many from leading Admo”rim. Torah fromthe Gaon Rabbi Alexander was printed in Torat Kohen  (Warsaw, 1939). This manuscript has not been researched nor compared at all . Copy of a letter to the author from 1826, signed by the sacred rabbis, Rabbi Simchah Bunim of Peshischa, Rabbi Yitzchak of Vorka, the Chiddushei HaRi”m of Gur, the Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Mendel of kotzk, Rabbi Ya'akov Aryeh of Radzymin and others. This manuscript comes from the private library of the Admo”rim of the Vorka-Otwok dynasty. Notation on the title page: ”LaHashem HaAretz U'Melo'ah, this manuscript belongs to Rabbi Simchah Bunim shlit”a son of the sacred Rebbe of Vorka, presently in Otvosk ...” - this is the Admo”r RAbbi Simcha Bunim Kalish (Whether this is his signature or a notation by one of the Chassidim has not been clarified). Signature on the protective leaf: ”Avraham Moshe son of ... [the Rebbe] of Vorka - his son's signature, the Admo”r Rabbi Avraham Moshe Kalish of Połaniec. CHassidic manuscripts like this one are very rare, certainly this one here, attributed to a prominent dynasty of Admo”im. [3], 175, [1] leaf. The vast majority are written on both sides. 21 cm. MOderate-fine condition. Old damp stains, with light ink smudges. Several leaves and groups of leaves are detached or partially detached. Old binding, disintegrated.
