A letter by Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky regarding his monumental work, 'Chazon Yechezkel'

An intriguing handwritten letter, complete with the signature of Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky, one of the great Torah scholars of his generation. The letter pertains to the publication of his renowned series 'Chazon Yechezkel' on the Tosefta, one of the most celebrated Torah works printed in recent generations. London, 1950 (5710).
The letter is addressed to a relative of Rabbi Abramsky who was involved in preparing *Chazon Yechezkel* for print. It is likely addressed to Rabbi Aharon Dov Alter Voronovsky, a relative mentioned in one volume of *Chazon Yechezkel* in an acknowledgment for his assistance with the book's publication.
While "everything depends on mazal, even a Torah scroll in the sanctuary, " reading this letter reveals Rabbi Abramsky's immense effort in the multiple stages of editing *Chazon Yechezkel.* His attention to detail, commitment to thorough review, and insistence that editors carefully study the Tosefta before editing explain why this work became one of the most significant Torah texts of recent generations.
Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky (1886–1976), author of *Chazon Yechezkel, * was one of the leaders of the Orthodox Jewish world in his era. He served as a rabbi in several Lithuanian cities, including Slutsk, before becoming the Av Beit Din of London. He was a member of the *Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah*, president of the *Vaad HaYeshivot, * and a senior figure at the Slabodka Yeshiva. His monumental scholarly work, *Chazon Yechezkel, * is a commentary on the Tosefta spanning 10 volumes.
[1] leaf, official stationery, 26.5 cm, entirely in Rabbi Abramsky's handwriting and signed by him.
