A Kabbalistic work on Tehillim in the handwriting of the hidden tzadik, Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung - ”Who was one of the greatest hidden tzadikim... and lived his entire life in elevated attachment through lofty unifications” (Rabbi Yehuda Zarchi Segal) The personal Sefer Tehillim of the hidden tzadik and divine Kabbalist, Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung. Printed with the names of Havaya and Adnut, and including prayers from the Chida, as well as texts for name changes and Pidyon Nefesh. Published by Tzalah Mansour, Jerusalem, [no year stated]. Contains multiple ownership stamps of the Kabbalist. On the final page, there is a letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung. From this Sefer Tehillim, Rabbi Yoel poured out his heartfelt prayers and achieved salvations for individuals and the community. The book is filled with holy names in his handwriting, including names for healing purposes. Throughout all the pages of this book are thousands of lines of Kabbalistic commentary on Tehillim, amounting to a complete composition in the handwriting of Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung himself. This work was later published posthumously under the title ”Zemirot Yoel” (Jerusalem, 2002), accompanied by endorsements from leading Kabbalists and Rebbes. Rabbi Yehuda Zarchi Segal writes in his endorsement of the printed edition: ”These revealed lights, holy writings, precious expositions beyond pearls and diamonds, in the hidden path of Tehillim, by the exalted tzadik, one of the greatest hidden tzadikim, Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung... it is impossible to describe or estimate the great merit of reciting Tehillim from this sacred book.” If Rabbi Yehuda Zarchi Segal declares the importance of the printed version, one can only imagine the immense spiritual power and significance of reciting Tehillim with these Kabbalistic interpretations and holy names directly from the original handwritten manuscript of the author. Rabbi Yechiel Fishel Eisenbach, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat HaMekubalim Sha'ar HaShamayim, writes in his endorsement: ”On the importance of the book 'Zemirot Yoel' on Tehillim, authored by the saintly Kabbalist Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung... a wondrous work, with hints and unifications based on the path of Kabbalah.” The Rebbe of Bobov writes in his endorsement: ”...this work is a masterpiece of divine insight and creativity—a true 'book of the generations of man.'” Beyond its bibliographic value as a rare autographed Kabbalistic commentary on Tehillim, this manuscript has immeasurable spiritual value. It is filled with hundreds (!) of holy names and awe-inspiring Kabbalistic combinations [see images], written by the hand of one of the great Ashkenazi Kabbalists of the previous generation, carrying immense spiritual power as a protective and successful amulet for all matters. 240 pages, 15 cm. Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung [1914–1989] , a descendant of the Maharsha and the Megaleh Amukot, was born in Padgorza near Krakow. He was one of the unique individuals among the students of the ”Kedushat Tzion” of Bobov and delivered advanced Talmudic classes in the Bobov yeshiva. Many teachings in the sacred text ”Kedushat Tzion” were recorded post-Holocaust from his extraordinary memory. After the Holocaust, he immigrated to Israel, where he became known for his mastery of revealed Torah while concealing his vast Kabbalistic knowledge. Rabbi Yoel was also known as a miracle worker. In the introduction to ”Zemirot Yoel” (p. 14), a story is told of someone facing a difficult court case who sought Rabbi Yoel’s help. Rabbi Yoel said, ”The case file should burn, ” and indeed the file and its contents were mysteriously consumed by fire despite being locked in a steel cabinet in the courthouse. This miraculous event was even reported in the newspapers. Rabbi Yoel maintained close friendships with leading Torah scholars. Rabbi Dov Berish Weidenfeld of Tchebin wrote to him: ”My dear relative, the eminent and profound Rabbi Yoel Hirschprung.” Rabbi Aharon Yosef Luria, author of ”Avodat Panim, ” addressed him in a letter: ”The eminent and great Rabbi, wondrous and miraculous... these titles are all completely accurate!” Rabbi Moshe Yair Weinstock referred to him in a 1976 letter as: ”The righteous and Kabbalistic foundation of the world, a complete and perfect individual.” Rabbi Yehuda Zarchi Segal, regarded as a teacher of hidden tzadikim, described Rabbi Yoel: ”He was one of the greatest hidden tzadikim... his entire life was spent in lofty attachment and sublime unifications.”
