A Letter from the Rebbe, Author of ”Emunat Moshe” of Alexander - ”And may we hear and share good tidings all the days.” A handwritten letter from Rebbe Yehuda Moshe, author of *Emunat Moshe*, of Alexander. Written approximately in 1950. This early letter originates from the period of his residence in Jerusalem, as noted in his words: ”In the midst of Jerusalem, the holy city, may it be rebuilt and reestablished.” Rebbe Yehuda Moshe Danziger (originally: Tibergh) of Alexander (1893–1973) was born to his father, Rabbi Yechiel Yosef Tibergh. In his youth, he studied under the Rebbe of Alexander, Rabbi Yerachmiel Yisrael Yitzchak Danziger, author of *Yismach Yisrael*, who held him in great esteem. In 1934, he immigrated to the Land of Israel, settled in Jerusalem, and was appointed as a dayan (judge) on the Rabbinical Court for the Chassidic community in Jerusalem. Later, he also served as the head of a yeshiva in Jerusalem. During this time, he delved into the study of Kabbalah with several of Jerusalem's kabbalists. During the Holocaust, the Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak Menachem of Alexander, along with his family and the vast majority of the Alexander Chassidim—numbering tens of thousands—were murdered. In 1947, the surviving Chassidim crowned Rabbi Yehuda Moshe as their Rebbe. His Torah teachings are preserved in his works, 'Emunat Moshe'. Postcard dimensions: 14 x 9.5 cm.
